Kyusu
In Japan, green tea is always prepared fresh in small clay pots known as kyusu.
An integrated sieve in front of the spout holds back the fine tea leaves, with the advantage that the leaves can float freely throughout the pot and are not prevented from moving freely in the water by a tea net or other device.
As several infusions are made, the pots and cups can be small. An old saying even goes:
"the better the tea the smaller the pot, the smaller the pot the better the tea".
