Kukicha is a tea made from the fine stems (Japanese: kuki) of tea leaves.

This tea is a wonderful introduction, especially for green tea beginners, as it hardly develops any bitterness and retains its pleasantly mild, warm flavour, even with a longer brewing time and water that is too hot. Kukicha also contains less caffeine than other green teas, meaning that frequent green tea drinkers can also enjoy their green tea in the evening without any worries.

There are different types of kukicha, which are roasted, for example, or made from the woody branches of the tea bush.

Storage In order to preserve the precious flavours and ingredients of the tea as best as possible, we recommend to seal the bag well and store it cool and dark - ideally in your refrigerator or freezer.
