Certifications and constant analyses confirm the high product quality of KEIKO teas. Every harvest is tested for harmful substances and radioactivity in an independent German laboratory.
However, should you notice any deviations in quality, we would be grateful for your information so that we can offer you the best possible products and service.
Organic certificate
Shimodozono teas were the first in Japan to be cultivated and certified according to EU organic guidelines as early as 1992.

Free from radioactive contamination
After the terrible reactor accident in Fukushima in March 2011, we are understandably often asked about the contamination of our teas. For this reason, we regularly have samples analysed in an independent German laboratory.
Thanks to the great distance between the KEIKO organic tea gardens in southern Kagoshima and the Fukushima region to the north, all analyses since 2011 have confirmed the safety of all KEIKO teas.
